I had posted the edited version of this without realizing this was a gift (message) from the spirit. I was soon touched to realize that Eric's spirit is soaring. Eric is my eldest uncle who passed away late yesterday on New Years Eve. I never grew up with him in my life.
When Eric was a young boy he suffered from Epilepsy which, I am told, was the result of an accident. He was institutionalized for more that 5 decades. This past year he was brought home to the place he was born as our community now has the facilities to care for him. Little did we know that he would only be here for a short time.
In the last years of his life he was confined to a wheel chair. No doubt he spent the first moments of 2008 with his spirit soaring. Last night before midnight he past on to the spirit world. My uncle lived to be 69 years old.
My explorations and observations of my world. I share my image making and techniques that I have learned.

Hi, Rob. Condolence...
ReplyDeleteMay the spirit of your uncle Eric rests in peace...
I wish you and the whole family a prosperous 2008 and all throughout...
Off-topic:
Thanx for your comment in my Tanay photo adventure. As for the goal for this year, I wish I also can run like you do. I just simply can't because of tight work schedule here. I bought a pedometer so I can count my steps daily but I still can't make it to the 10,000 steps daily. I'm gaining weight and I'm desperate to get rid of those extra pounds...
My deepest condolences on the death of your uncle.
ReplyDeleteRob, is this bird a blue jay?
I'm just a bit struck by that if it is as the poem I wrote is called Blue Jay Visitor and it is about death.
Yes Taina, This is a Blue Jay. The night before this Blue Jay appeared to us was New Year's Eve. My uncle Eric passed away before midnight. The next morning was nice. Cloudy but bright and the chickadees were flying in and out of the bird feeder when they all disappeared. I was in the unusual position at the time, lying back and low on my computer chair by our sliding glass door. It was actually the best position for the shot, the background, the angle and the right timing. Quite the opposite of death, which is never planned nor seems coincidental.
